Does not control my external USB monitor (USB / DIsplayLink)

I’m using an AOC e1659Fwu external USB monitor, driven by DisplayLink software on my MacBook Air (OSX 10.9.4).

This app has absolutely no effect on my external monitor, it does nothing.
